Richard Smith received this Trophy and £500.00 Cheque yesterday at Coombe Abbey in Coventry on behalf of RS Motors and its team.

We would like to thank Peugeot and Citroen UK and our Partners Robins Robins and Day Birmingham Central and Robins & Day Birmingham North for their support, working together helps us provide excellent service and quality repairs, also making sure customers and their vehicles are directed into the UKs finest Vehicle Accident Repair Network.

RS Motors and our furry friends raised an amazing £6,8321.00 for Tommys charity making us the highest raising team out of 100's that entered, our target was £5000.00 as you will see from the news artical below. We were awarded a signed Trophy, signed by Lewis Hamiltion and Sir Stirling Moss for are amazing efforts.

January 2013 RS MOTORS FINALIST IN PEUGEOT/CITROEN INDEPENDENT BODYSHOP OF THE YEAR AWARD 2012 RS Motors in Birmingham, is celebrating after being named as one of the Finalists in Peugeot’s/Citroen’s Independent Bodyshop of the Year Awards 2012, for its continually high levels of service and customer care. The company, which employs twenty two people, beat off stiff competition to be one of only a few Finalists from the UK Network of Peugeot/Citroen Accident Repair Centres PARC’s/CARC’s and was presented with their certificate by their district Bodyshop Development Manager, Phillipa Wells. Launched in January 2012, the programme recognises excellence in accident repair and all of the PARC’s/CARC’s were measured on a monthly basis against a set of points scoring criteria and key performance indicators, such as customer satisfaction and technical training. Their district bodyshop development manager worked closely with them to try and achieve the highest possible score. Richard Smith at RS Motors said: ‘This award is a sign of recognition for all of the hard work the team has put into the business and to be a Finalist in Peugeot’s/Citroen’s Independent Bodyshop of the Year reflects that we are at the forefront of the accident repair industry. This achievement supports our commitment to delivering high quality and safe repairs, combined with outstanding customer service.’ Commenting on the award Adrian Mossop, Peugeot’s/Citroen’s accident repair programme manager, said: “The accident repair sector is a vital part of our industry and I’m pleased that RS Motors has been recognised as being one of the very best bodyshops in the UK. This clearly demonstrates the team’s commitment to delivering a first class service to Peugeot/Citroen customers.”

PAS 125


We are proud to announce that today RS MOTORS have received our new certification after an audit was carried out just before Christmas to bring us into line with the new standard of PAS 125:2011. 

Below is a small description and some comments on the new standard we have achieved:   

The revisions in PAS 125:2011 address the latest technological innovation in the motor industry and best practice within bodyshops. All changes to the PAS were agreed by industry representatives and public comment, to ensure that compliance with the PAS continues to reassure vehicle owners of the quality and safety standards in the vehicle damage repair process.

Howard Kerr, Chief Executive Officer at BSI Group comments: “The newly revised PAS continues to provide assurance to both motor vehicle insurers and owners that repairs are undertaken to a robustly managed process.”

Peter Shaw, Chief Executive of Thatcham, the insurer funded research centre said “As we enter the fourth year of the Kitemark for vehicle damage repair, our members welcome the review of the standard - PAS 125. Thatcham witnesses the continual advancement in vehicle design and use of materials which challenge insurers engineering and repair networks. The achievement of the standard and display of the Kitemark provides the ability to identify those bodyshops which are investing in equipment and skills training to ensure a safe, high quality repair for customers.

We are confident the new PAS 125 standard reflects the needs of a dynamic sector demonstrating it is serious about continuous improvements in quality and safety”.

The existing Kitemark scheme will be updated to bring it in line with the new PAS 125:2011. Organisations that have the existing Kitemark will have 12 months from the re-issue date to undertake the transition.

Bodyshops that achieve the Kitemark are able to differentiate themselves from the competition by displaying a highly recognised consumer mark that stands for trust, safety and reliability1. They can also promote themselves on kitemark.com, a website devoted to helping consumers’ search for Kitemark licence holders.

Just a little more on the launch of the Electric Kangoo Z.E.



We must say in our opinion having driven the first Electric Vehicle out of four to be launched it is going to be the way forward for single owners and also Fleets. The Kangoo Z.E is very economical and drives like a dream. Its unreal as there is a motor instead of an engine it makes no noise at all ! We thought it wasn't running ! I think to be honest instead of us trying to explain.

We would like to congratulate Todd Waterfield on his success passing his ATA Senior Panel and MET Light today. This accreditation is a huge success and once again defines RS Motors as a leading quality repairer holding BSI PAS 125 with highly trained and quality committed technications.

Yet another very nice vehicle in for repairs this week. We have to strip the complete front end and refinish due to stone chips. We are also refurbishing the four wheels in special silver with a smoked chrome finish..

This week we have something very nice in for repairs. The Mclaren SLR. We must say this is a very nice vehicle to add to our collection of prestige Sports vehicles we have repaired.
